Whether you are visiting for the first time or are a returning guest, welcome! We hope that this site provides insight into who we are as a church community. If you have any questions, please shoot us an email or give us a call, we'd be happy to talk!
Beacon Community Church was planted in Fall, 2015 and is located in Belmont, MA. We desire to be a church that loves and serves Jesus Christ and loves and serves our community. We believe the good news of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection is a life-transforming message for all people. Therefore, we invite people from all walks of life to come and explore Jesus Christ with us. We would love to have you join us for our worship gathering on Sundays @ 10am at Studio Cinema.
What to Expect
We invite you to join us during our Sunday gatherings at 10am to experience what we’re about. When you come you'll be welcomed by a greeter handing out a worship guide that will guide you through the morning's service and you'll find lots of friends gathered around talking, eating snacks, and getting ready for the service. Feel free to sit, to find someone to talk to, or do whatever makes you comfortable.
What happens during the gathering?
We’ll give some simple instructions throughout the service to let you know when to stand or sit. During our time together we will sing, pray, read Scripture, and hear a message that is both Biblical and practical.
How should I dress?
We welcome you to dress comfortably and be yourself. Most people at Beacon dress somewhat casually while others do dress up. Jeans are certainly fine as well and shorts during warmer weather.
How Long Is It?
The service usually lasts about 75 minutes. We would love for you to hang around for a little while after the service. Refreshments are available each week, and our people love to spend time meeting newcomers and catching up with friends.
What do I do when I get there?
When you walk in the front doors a friendly person will greet you, give you a program (what we call a Worship Guide) and answer any questions that you might have.
Do I have to Do Everything?
We want you to enjoy your time with us so we encourage you to participate as much or as little as you like. You can meet a lot of new people seated around you or choose to remain anonymous at first if you prefer.
Will You Contact Me?
You'll get a Connection Card in the worship guide, you can place it in the offering basket later in the service. The card is a way for us to learn a little bit about you. We promise that we won’t show up at your door, but we will send you a free gift during the next week when you fill out a card for the first time.
If I drive, where can I park?
On Sundays, parking is available on the street without a permit, but please be mindful of not blocking nearby driveways.
Can I bring my child?
Absolutely! We welcome children of all ages at Beacon. There is infant and toddler child care available during the service as well as children classes for preschool to 3rd grade. Click here for more information.
Do I Have to be a Christian?
Absolutely not. If you are just curious about what a church is like, if you are walking a faith journey of your own and wondering what Christianity is all about, or if you're just wondering what people are doing in a dance studio on a Sunday morning you are very welcome to come. Stay as long as you like, enjoy refreshments, talk to us, ask questions.
If you have questions about the church, about faith, or anything else we'd love to talk to you. Give us a call, contact us below, or just stop by on a Sunday morning we'll be happy to talk to you!
